July 26, 2009, David Teak with the national campaign of Barack Obama began the grass roots organization of the Barack Obama for President campaign. He is responsible for northwest Florida. Door to door activism is one large part of their effort - to identify and engage supporters of Barack Obama and build a grass roots movement to take back the American Government for the people. This event was held at the Peoples First building in Panama City at 9:30. This was the 2nd meeting to rally around Barack in Bay County and there were almost twice as many people there as there were at the first event. Mr. Teak stressed the importance of Florida's electoral votes in the upcoming election. The crowd was engaged, energetic and excited to be part of the generational change in the American Political Landscape.
